As a member of a small CMS team, you will support the Digital team by maintaining and optimizing Element's portfolio of websites and digital platforms. Your expertise in Optimizely CMS and SEO best practices will drive day‑to‑day content operations, stakeholder training, and quality standards across all digital properties. A key aspect of the role is providing timezone coverage for US requirements when the EMEAA team is offline, working closely with the Senior SEO Specialist.
You will manage daily CMS operations, review and approve content change requests, and assist the Senior SEO Specialist with technical SEO crawls, audits, and keyword optimization. The role also includes supporting the web content process, performing regular website audits, training marketing teams, monitoring error and downtime reports, and escalating complex issues as needed. Additional responsibilities involve ad‑hoc support for the Global Digital Director, Platforms Manager, and staying current with CMS technology and SEO trends.
The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, or a related field and has 2‑3 years of experience in website management, CMS administration, or digital marketing support. Hands‑on experience with Optimizely (Episerver) is highly desirable, with other enterprise CMS platforms and headless CMS knowledge considered valuable. Proficiency in technical/content SEO, Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Looker, and SEO tracking tools such as SEMRush is required.
Key behaviors include being action‑oriented, detail‑focused, disciplined in processes, and pragmatic in problem solving. Strong stakeholder management, collaboration, customer focus, effective communication, and multitasking abilities are essential. Additional skills comprise advanced CMS technical expertise, time management, the ability to translate technical concepts for non‑technical audiences, responsiveness across time zones, quality assurance, and a working understanding of HTML/CSS/JS.
