Provide ES&H leadership to personnel assigned to the Welding department. This includes preparation and implementation of safety procedures and leading Bechtel and subcontractor safety meetings. Inspect site for unsafe conditions and practices and take appropriate corrective action to correct breaches.
Prepare reports and forecasts, including summary of construction progress, craft personnel forecasts, and expenditures forecasts.
Provide input to quantity tracking applications and report weekly installed quantities to Project Controls.
Coordinate safety training and enforce safe work practices at all times in conjunction with the Environmental Safety and Health Supervisor.
Coordinate established area operational plans.
Responsible for the cost, schedule and optimization of craft labor and maintaining the 90 day and 3 week look ahead schedules for labor and equipment.
Champion the cause of ZERO Accident Philosophy. Ensure that Bechtel and local/national safety codes, requirements and standards are being complied with within assigned area of responsibility. Monitor the activities of craft to ensure compliance with specifications and schedules.
Plan the staffing and equipment required to execute the job.
Perform employee reviews and identify training and development opportunities.

Knowledge of supervisory functions relating to field welding activities.
Minimum of 10 to 12 years industry experience in welding and welding supervision with a minimum 3 years Bechtel experience. Knowledge of supervisory functions relating to field welding activities.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications.
Experience in oil, gas, refinery, petrochemical, minerals processing or power generating station construction is preferred.
Experience on an LNG construction site especially along the U.S. Gulf Coast.
Excellent communication and problem-solving ability.
Demonstrated ability to manage and lead teams.
Heavy industrial direct hire construction experience commensurate with the type of work to be undertaken.
Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards.
