The successful candidate will monitor UK regulatory frameworks and energy‑climate policy, develop and align RWE’s positions, and communicate them to external stakeholders. They will interface with government departments, Ofgem and organisations such as RUK, lead contributions to industry associations and consultations, and provide briefings and risk assessments to senior management and project teams. Collaboration with European and APAC regulatory colleagues and development of the team’s competencies are also key parts of the role.
Applicants need at least seven years of relevant experience in advisory, development, utility, association or government settings, and a degree in economics, politics, law, business or a comparable field. Proven stakeholder‑management, strong negotiation, and excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills are required, together with ethical awareness and compliance experience. Candidates must demonstrate outstanding organisational and time‑management abilities, be able to handle multiple projects with competing deadlines, and possess proficient written and spoken English.
