Structural Design Engineer

Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Structural Engineer at Khales in Dubai, UAE. The Structural Engineer will be responsible for performing structural analysis, designing of RCC and steel engineering structures, and ensuring compliance with UAE industry standards and regulations. This role involves utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed structural designs and coordinating with various teams throughout the project's phases.

• Conduct site visits to assess project requirements, monitor progress, and provide technical guidance.
• Assist in the project handover process, ensuring all structural aspects are completed to the client's satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Participate in project meetings, presenting design solutions and addressing technical queries.
• Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, MEP Engineers, and project managers to integrate structural design into overall project plans.
• Perform structural analysis and design for various building types and infrastructures.
• Ensure designs comply with UAE local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards and best practices.
• Prepare and review relevant documentation, including technical reports, design briefs, project specifications, and as-built documentation.
• Apply for and obtain necessary authorities' approvals in compliance with UAE regulations.
• Perform quality control checks to ensure the integrity and safety of structures.
• Provide technical support during construction, addressing any structural engineering issues that arise.
• Review and approve design calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Conduct post-construction evaluations and provide feedback to improve future projects.
• Develop detailed structural drawings and specifications using CAD software such as AutoCAD and Prokon, Safe, Etabs.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure project requirements are met.
• Provide technical input for project planning and development.

Requirements

• Professional Sharjah Municipality certifications or licenses (G+4 minimum) in structural engineering (e.g., PE, SE) or civil engineering are required.
• Professional experience in Dubai with Municipality.
• Familiarity with structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD Pro, SAFE, PROKON).
• Understanding of UAE local regulations and the process for obtaining authorities' approvals.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• 4+ years proven experience in structural analysis and design, with strong knowledge of structural engineering principles.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, particularly AutoCAD and Revit.
• Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and safety regulations.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
• Experience in preparing and reviewing technical reports, drawings, and specifications.
