The role includes owning the delivery pipeline for platform and simulation applications, both connected and air‑gapped, and implementing repeatable, compliant CI/CD, artifact management, and promotion across dev, stage, and prod environments. Responsibilities also cover designing GitOps workflows (Argo CD/Flux), CI pipelines (GitHub Actions, Tekton, Argo Workflows), building promotion pipelines with automated tests and Istio traffic shifting, managing artifact registries and SBOM generation, enabling secure offline packaging, and automating supply‑chain compliance.

KBR is seeking a senior software engineer in Beavercreek, OH, to serve as a CI/CD and Release Engineering subject‑matter expert. The position requires an active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
Candidates must have 12+ years of software engineering experience, including 5–7 years in DevSecOps/Release Engineering, strong Kubernetes CI/CD, GitOps, and Helm/Kustomize expertise, and familiarity with policy‑as‑code, SBOMs, container signing, and image mirroring. An active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required.
Desired experience includes operating CI/CD in disconnected or secure networks, automating air‑gap workflows, performance‑aware rollouts with canary analysis and automated rollback, and meeting DoD compliance controls.
Work is performed on‑site or hybrid with up to 15 % travel and standard working hours.
