The engineer will develop OCS layout drawings, profiles, hanger tabulations, erection diagrams, and technical specifications, while performing quality control reviews and design checks on railroad projects. They will lead major tasks, serve as project manager on mid‑large size projects, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage client relationships, and mentor staff to support work across New England and beyond.
Candidates must hold a BA/BS in Civil or Structural Engineering (or related field) with at least six years of relevant experience, possess a Professional Engineer (PE) license, and have a valid US driver’s license. Preferred qualifications include ten years of railway systems experience, proficiency with design software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, GEOPAK, OpenRoads or OpenRail, and prior work with agencies like CTDOT, Metro‑North, Amtrak or MBTA.

The position is based in Rocky Hill, Connecticut, operates under a hybrid work model, and offers a compensation range of $150,000 to $170,000 based on location and qualifications.
