The Project Manager III is a senior individual contributor who leads complex, high‑profile electrical construction projects. This role serves as a subject‑matter expert and mentor for less senior project staff, ensuring projects meet scope, schedule, and financial goals while upholding company policies and performance standards.
Key duties include establishing clear project objectives and procedures, negotiating and supervising change orders, and acting as the primary liaison with clients and architects/engineers. The manager supports on‑site construction activities alongside foremen and superintendents, anticipates potential issues, implements corrective actions, and represents Rosendin in meetings. Financial responsibilities encompass preparing monthly cost reports, managing progress billing and equipment rentals, and safeguarding the company’s financial interests while fostering strong client relationships. The role also involves identifying and developing new business opportunities.
Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil or Structural Engineering (preferred) and ideally possess a PE license. A minimum of eight years’ experience in project management, particularly within electrical construction, is required, with a combination of education, training, and relevant experience also considered.
Success in this role depends on proven mentoring abilities, strong business development and client interaction skills, and a thorough understanding of safety protocols. Proficiency with Microsoft Office is essential, while experience with Oracle and Accubid is preferred. The ideal candidate is self‑motivated, adaptable, able to prioritize multiple tasks, and possesses excellent oral and written communication skills.
The position involves up to 25% travel and work primarily on active construction sites, requiring flexibility to perform tasks such as standing, walking, lifting up to 30 lbs, and working in varied indoor environments. Rosendi n complies with ADA requirements and provides reasonable accommodations for qualified disabled applicants.
Rosendin Electric offers meaningful career growth for recent graduates and seasoned professionals alike, featuring ownership, competitive compensation, full benefits, and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan. As one of the largest employee‑owned electrical contractors in the United States, the company has a 100‑year history of integrity, diversity, and community impact. The culture empowers people, rewards success, and encourages employees to become shareholders in a rapidly growing organization.
