Senior Quantity Surveyor

Description

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take full commercial responsibility for two large-scale residential/apartment development sites. You will manage all aspects of cost control, procurement, and financial reporting, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate commercial risks to protect project profitability.
• Cost Management: Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and cost plans throughout the project lifecycle.
• Financial Reporting: Produce accurate monthly cost reports and cash flow forecasts for senior management.
• Tendering & Procurement: Lead tender processes, evaluate bids, and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Contract Administration: Manage contracts, variations, and claims in line with company and client requirements.
• Stakeholder Liaison: Build strong relationships with clients, design teams, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Team Leadership: Mentor junior QS staff and contribute to the development of the commercial team.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of Irish construction contracts and regulations.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Minimum 7+ years’ experience in a QS role, ideally with a main contractor.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Proven track record managing large-scale residential or mixed-use developments.
• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
