The VP of Enterprise Applications owns the strategy, architecture, and execution of Montrose’s core enterprise application ecosystem—including Workday, Salesforce, Coupa, and Workato—and how these platforms connect to each other and to the enterprise data platform. This is platform leadership, not mere maintenance; you will define design, integration, governance, and evolution, making bold configuration, integration, and automation choices while preparing the organization for next‑generation data‑driven workflows.

• Define reference architectures, integration standards, and configuration principles for Workday, Salesforce, Coupa, and Workato.
• Make opinionated platform decisions to reduce customization and eliminate redundancy.
• Drive optimization and adoption of Workday (Finance, HR, Projects), Salesforce, and Coupa (Procurement, Spend Management).
• Ensure platforms support scale, reporting, and automation beyond transactional use.
• Partner with Finance, HR, Operations, and Commercial leaders to align systems with business processes.
• Lead integration and automation strategy using Workato as a reusable, governed workflow backbone.
• Replace brittle point‑to‑point integrations with observable, event‑driven processes.
• Design the ecosystem to be Snowflake Data Cloud‑ready and enable zero‑copy integrations.
• Collaborate with Data & AI leadership to make application data analytics‑ and AI‑ready from day one.
• Establish strong governance for data ownership, access, auditability, and change management.
• Balance enterprise controls with speed and usability, avoiding unnecessary bureaucracy.
• Build and lead a high‑performing enterprise applications team, setting clear architecture rigor expectations.
• Serve as a trusted partner to executives, translating business needs into platform strategy.
• Leverage a nearshore delivery model using Latin American talent.
• Mentor and develop team members with professional‑development resources.
• Provide direct exposure to industry‑leading experts solving environmental challenges.
• Support employee well‑being with a student‑loan planning tool and inclusive employee resource groups.

Requirements

A core focus is preparing Montrose to fully capitalize on Snowflake Data Cloud zero‑copy integrations, unlocking analytics, AI, and cross‑system intelligence without brittle ETL. Success in the first 9‑12 months includes a well‑governed architecture, optimized and trusted Workday, Salesforce, and Coupa, a clean Workato integration layer, automated end‑to‑end processes, and readiness for Snowflake zero‑copy integrations.
