Community Engagement Specialist

Description

The specialist will identify, coordinate, and represent Davis at local community events, focusing on family‑focused, military, veteran‑centered, youth sports, high school and university athletics, minor league teams, and neighborhood activities. The goal is to increase brand presence and goodwill by ensuring Davis is visible at the right events, providing professional on‑site representation, and capturing engagement opportunities such as sponsorships, booth space, and lead generation.

• Identify and evaluate community events aligned with brand goals (youth sports, high school games, tournaments, family events, festivals).
• Build an annual/seasonal community event calendar with recommended priorities.
• Support the General Manager in establishing and maintaining relationships with event organizers, athletic directors, booster clubs, league representatives, and community leaders.
• Present event participation opportunities to the GM/Marketing Lead for approval.
• Coordinate event logistics: booth space, setup, giveaways, banners, promotional items, and staff participation.
• Ensure Davis branding is consistent and professionally represented at all events.
• Collaborate with internal marketing to prepare messaging, collateral, and materials.
• Attend assigned events as the Davis representative and engage families, homeowners, and community members.
• Promote Davis offerings in a friendly, education‑first manner.
• Support lead capture efforts using raffles, QR code sign‑ups, newsletter lists, or free inspection promotions.
• Provide post‑event summaries including interaction counts, leads collected, community feedback, and future opportunities.
• Maintain a running engagement report and hours log.

Requirements

The ideal candidate has experience in event coordination, community outreach, field marketing, or brand ambassador roles, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage schedules and communications proactively. They must be comfortable working evenings and weekends, serve as the face of Davis, have reliable transportation, and preferably be familiar with Lynchburg community organizations and basic lead‑capture methods.

• Strong interpersonal skills; comfortable speaking with families and homeowners.
• Organized, proactive, and dependable; able to manage event schedules and communications.
• Comfortable working evenings/weekends and representing Davis at local events.
• Reliable transportation.
• Familiarity with Lynchburg-area community organizations, youth leagues, or schools (preferred).
• Background in home services marketing, brand ambassador work, or community sponsorship activation (preferred).
• Basic comfort using simple lead capture methods such as QR forms, raffles, or sign‑up sheets (preferred).
