In this role you will support directional drilling for the installation of underground conduit and fiber optic cable, ensuring the job is done right and safely. You will coordinate equipment, read utility locates, and transport heavy tools to and from job sites each day.
- Locate and operate horizontal directional drilling equipment to install underground conduit and fiber optic cable.
- Collaborate with drill locator to safely install coax and fiber systems.
- Ensure safety of the public and existing underground utilities.
- Read utility locates and coordinate daylighting of facilities.
- Transport heavy equipment to and from job sites daily.

The ideal candidate is safety‑oriented, delivers high‑quality work, and enjoys hands‑on problem solving on long‑term projects. You should have at least two years of urban utility directional drilling experience, be familiar with Vermeer or Ditch Witch drills, be able to read maps and diagrams, and hold a valid Class A CDL with a clean record.
- Minimum 2 years of utility directional drilling experience in an urban environment.
- Proficiency with Vermeer or Ditch Witch drills of various sizes.
- Ability to read maps, drawings, and diagrams for project builds.
