The Role

Overview

Provides advanced IT support & infrastructure management for office & plant.

Tasks

-Evaluates escalated and recurring IT incidents, conducts root-cause analysis, and implements proactive solutions to improve system reliability and reduce downtime. -Monitors service levels to ensure adherence to SLAs and drives continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery. -Provides on-site and hands-on IT support as needed and participates in a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours coverage. -Ensures systems and devices remain compliant with company policies and security standards; develops and maintains technical documentation, including SOPs, knowledge base articles, and FAQs. -Leads or assists with the deployment, configuration, and integration of hardware, software, and network devices across office and plant environments. -Promotes a culture of safety and compliance with all relevant health, safety, and IT security regulations. -Performs work in both office and plant/manufacturing environments. -Collaborates with business stakeholders, IT peers, and plant personnel to deliver solutions, share best practices, and mentor junior support staff. -Remains in a stationary position for extended periods. -Operates standard office and IT equipment daily. -Serves as an escalation point for Tier 1 support, resolving complex infrastructure and application issues using advanced diagnostic tools and technical expertise. -Occasionally moves about the office to access equipment or files.

What You Bring

-Proven ability to lead small projects, initiatives, or process improvements. -Experience using ITSM tools; ITIL exposure or certification strongly preferred. -Ability to travel up to 10% between U.S. and Canadian facilities as required. -Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field—or equivalent work experience. -4+ years of progressive experience in IT support, systems administration, or infrastructure management, preferably within manufacturing or industrial environments. -Lifts and transports moderately heavy objects such as computers and peripherals. -Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills with the ability to identify, assess, and resolve technical issues effectively. -Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Windows environments, networked devices, and IT service management principles.
