Conduct comprehensive daily inspections of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems across building and terminal construction projects, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and project specifications, review and interpret construction documents including blueprints and shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
May be required to work various shifts, including day, swing, and night.
Support special inspections and testing activities, coordinating with engineers, contractors, and third-party agencies as needed.
Verify contractor compliance with local and national electrical codes (e.g., NEC, NFPA 70, 70E, 72), mechanical and plumbing codes, and LAWA-specific standards.
Inspects the construction of a wide variety of airport improvements and utilities projects to ensure conformance to plans, specifications, contracts, permits, environmental documents, agreements for work, and may provide construction inspection support.
Involvement in complex projects that require coordination with multiple stakeholders, including contractors, engineers, and city officials.
Assist in validating contractor progress payment requests based on an approved schedule of values.
Track and document time-and-material work, field changes, and job quantities

Current ICC Certification as a Commercial Mechanical
Knowledge of Project Management Information Software used for inspection/document control (i.e., Microsoft Office, Outlook, Xcel, Word, PM Web, Adobe Pro, Bluebeam, etc.).
Fire life safety systems including smoke/heat detectors and FM-200 suppression systems
Successfully hired Candidates must provide Proof of Cal-OSHA 30 hr. training within the last 4 years, prior to assignment.
