Conduct site investigations and develop construction plans to inform estimates.
Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor proposals.
Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
Lead and manage estimates for large, complex marine and heavy civil projects.
Mentor and guide junior estimators and contribute to team development.
Assist in developing and refining estimating procedures and historical cost databases.
Collaborate with design teams and provide preconstruction services.
Prepare and review proposals, cost breakdowns, and supporting documentation.
Stay current with industry trends, equipment, and construction methods.
Interpret and analyze drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
Provide conceptual and detailed estimates, including self-perform work.
Participate in group photo documentation and candid moment capture (if applicable to project events).
Support design management and coordination during preconstruction.
Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.

Experience with marine, heavy civil, and EPC projects preferred.
Regular, reliable attendance
Strong understanding of conceptual, hard bid, and self-perform estimating.
7–10 years of estimating experience, with at least 3–5 years as a lead estimator.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and estimating software (e.g., Hard Dollar, On-Screen Takeoff, Timberline, MC2).
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment.
Work productively and meet deadlines timely
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
