Description

• Ensure ordering of day-to-day items
• Perform work in conformance with plans, specifications, schedules, and cost control estimates
• Supervise all construction-related work activities and assigned field functions and/or crafts involved within a discipline on the project
• Maintain quality of all work in accordance with the standard as in the design documents
• Ensure that subordinates are knowledgeable of specifications and work procedures
• Planning and organizing
• Minimize potential HR issues in day-to-day contact with field personnel
• Coordinate the work activities of all involved crafts within a discipline during the entire construction effort, if required
• Manage electrical subcontracts activities
• Develop a strong electrical team
• Control change/scope creep, ensuring that all scope changes are quickly and properly documented, and that change orders are approved prior to the performance of work
• Review the contractual commitments of contractors including cost, quality, and schedule, and verify their field activities
• Plan required work activities to ensure that design drawings, tools, equipment, and materials are available
• Ensure the timely completion of all mandatory training by themselves and their teams
• Ensure employees understand their responsibility and authority to effectively implement the requirements of all McDermott policies and procedures
• Identify labor requirements
• Own and lead the implementation, enforcement, and verification of compliance with all McDermott policies and procedures
• Play an active role in the development of the safety culture on the project, making safety a natural part of all work performed

Requirements

• 7 to 10+ years construction experience with 5+ years supervisory experience
• Experience in all relevant aspects of electrical installation and control system
• Familiarity with CBI procedures and standards
• Industrial construction background
• Working knowledge of the energy efficiency industry
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Familiarity with company scheduling programs
