The Safety Administrator supports the corporate safety department by handling documentation, recordkeeping, and the development and organization of safety programs and procedures, reporting to the Director of Corporate Safety.
Key duties include acting as a liaison among supervisors, departments, vendors, and clients; maintaining incident and injury records in the safety management system; producing weekly and quarterly safety reports; coordinating toolbox talks, trainings, events, and team‑building activities; preparing safety manuals, OSHA posters, and job start‑up kits; managing PPE inventory; assisting new‑hire orientation; and tracking safety training expirations.
Success in this role requires strong computer and Microsoft Office skills, the ability to prioritize multiple tasks under pressure, excellent oral and written communication, professional interaction with all employee levels, and a proactive, self‑starting attitude. Candidates should be willing to deepen safety knowledge and obtain relevant certifications.
Applicants need a minimum of two years’ experience as a Safety Administrator, Safety Professional, Risk Professional, or a comparable role. The position is office‑based in Abilene, Texas, with no travel required.
