Description

In this role the intern assists project leadership with a range of project‑related activities, such as documentation, cross‑functional collaboration, meeting participation, and communication support. The intern also contributes to process‑improvement efforts and handles ad‑hoc assignments as needed.

• Track project schedules, milestones and deliverables.
• Prepare meeting notes, reports and status updates.
• Gather information and coordinate tasks with Commercial, Risk and Accounting teams.
• Document meeting takeaways, action items and maintain project dashboards.
• Support communication with business partners and vendors.
• Identify efficiency opportunities and contribute to process‑improvement initiatives.
• Complete ad‑hoc assignments directed by project leadership.

Requirements

Talen Energy is seeking a motivated IT Project Manager intern to support the implementation of our ETRM system. The intern will work with the Business Relations – Commercial Risk team, assisting with planning, coordination, and tracking. This internship offers hands‑on experience in project execution, cross‑functional collaboration and exposure to real‑world project management processes.

Candidates must be currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or a related field. They should demonstrate strong organizational, time‑management and attention‑to‑detail skills, as well as initiative, responsiveness and a willingness to learn. Excellent written and verbal communication, proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams) and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment are required.
