What you would be doing

  • Support project deliverables such as: bill of materials, specifications, yard layouts, equipment plans, sections and details, wiring diagrams, control building arrangements, DC calculations, cable lists, device configuration/program files, network architecture diagrams, channel plans, and cutover planning.
  • Serve as a quality control (QC) resource on an ad-hoc basis for various deliverables (design, test plans, method of procedure (MOP)s, reports, etc)
  • Work closely with the project team and/or client to ensure deliverables and services are being provided to client’s satisfaction and that projects are following internal QA/QC guidelines.
  • Provide support in preparing proposals and presentations.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and instruction to less experienced staff members.
  • Work with the project manager(s) to support project schedule and meet deadlines.
  • Identify, communicate and support resolution of issues on projects as needed.
  • Meet and correspond with clients or outside personnel to develop relationships with key client points of contact.
  • Support design of telecommunications networks utilizing client standards or developing new standards, as required.
  • Support execution of complex assignments requiring the use of advanced tools and techniques, resulting in the development of new or improved processes, equipment and/or technological methods.

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical, computer or other related engineering discipline from an ABET accredited program.
  • Minimum of 3 years of utility telecommunications project or related experience.
  • Nokia NRS 1 and 2 certifications or substantial industry experience with Nokia MPLS preferred.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional Engineering licensure in the state of Texas or Engineering in Training registration preferred
  • Experience with Nokia Network Function Manager – Packet (NFM-P) preferred.
  • Consulting experience preferred.
  • Python experience preferred.
  • Must be capable of devising new approaches to problems encountered.
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Office such as PowerPoint, Excel, and Power BI.
  • Must be capable of applying intensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices to broad areas of assignments.
