  • Analyse data and produce high-quality reports and presentations that effectively communicate complex economic concepts and findings to diverse stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Engage with external partners in order to better understand our place based economic impact.
  • Support the delivery of high-quality socio-economic analysis to inform project feasibility and investment decisions.
  • Assess the economic impact of our projects and programmes at Local Authority all the way to UK level using both micro and macroeconomic methods.
  • Support the development and maintenance of data models, producing reports and dashboards to inform senior stakeholders.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex economic concepts in a clear and concise manner and a collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to handle and analyse large quantities of data and experience in establishing, communicating and presenting well-reasoned conclusions, proposals and recommendations based upon multiple data sources.
  • In depth knowledge of the regional economies in which SSEN transmission operate as well as an awareness of local and national economic strategy and policy.
  • Understanding of socio-economic appraisal methodologies for both quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Qualified to degree level in an economics/finance related discipline, or relevant experience.
