CAD Technician - Civil Design

Description

The role involves daily creation of detailed drawings and construction plans for a variety of civil engineering projects, including wind farms, roads, airports, site planning, municipal infrastructure, underground utilities, and stormwater drainage.

• Create detailed civil engineering drawings and construction plans for projects such as wind farms, roads, and airports.
• Prepare designs for municipal infrastructure, underground utilities, and stormwater drainage systems.
• Perform clean‑up of topographic survey data when needed.
• Comply with AA/E‑Verify employment requirements.

Requirements

Candidates should have experience with civil engineering design in transportation, utilities, or land development, an Associate's degree or certificate in CAD/drafting (or equivalent training), and strong knowledge of MicroStation, Geopak, or AutoCAD. Additional skills in ArcView, topographic survey clean‑up, analytical problem solving, reliable self‑start attitude, teamwork, and solid written and verbal communication are required, and the position is AA/E‑Verify compliant.

• Hold an Associate’s Degree in CAD, a drafting certificate, or equivalent on‑the‑job training.
• Demonstrate proficiency in MicroStation, Geopak, and AutoCAD; ArcView experience is a plus.
• Apply strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Work reliably as a self‑starter and collaborate effectively in team settings.
• Maintain solid written and verbal communication skills.
