O&M Training Specialist III

Description

The Training Lead role can be based in any ENFRA office and is responsible for owning the vision, growth, and daily execution of the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Training Program, which includes both eLearning and onsite, project‑specific courses.

The position involves planning program development, updating eLearning content, creating and tailoring training materials, leading kickoff meetings, supporting project trainers, managing budgets and fee proposals, administering post‑training assessments, gathering client feedback, and ensuring the program stays on schedule, within budget, and meets all deliverables.

• Own planning, growth, and improvement of the O&M training program.
• Update and expand eLearning modules based on trainee feedback.
• Develop and tailor training materials (presentations, handouts, videos, eLearning) to client needs.
• Lead O&M training kickoff meetings with clients, project managers, and asset managers.
• Support project trainers and collaborate on fee proposals and budgets.
• Administer and analyze post‑training assessments to ensure retention.
• Conduct client check‑ins for feedback and adjust training as needed.
• Ensure training program stays on schedule, within budget, and meets deliverables.
• Provide ongoing O&M training for new hires and staff.
• Identify knowledge gaps in operations staff and deliver focused training.
• Coordinate with internal training administration for schedules and eLearning assignments.
• Manage coordination and scheduling of O&M trainings with stakeholders.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Education, Technical Writing, Communications, or a related field and have at least two years of experience designing highly technical training programs with subject‑matter experts. Required skills include strong communication, relationship and project management abilities, analytical thinking, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Preferred qualifications include knowledge of large healthcare or higher‑education HVAC systems, familiarity with building automation, and experience creating eLearning modules. The role requires 5‑10 % travel and involves light physical work such as climbing stairs and handling objects up to 20 pounds.

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Technical Writing, Communications, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years experience developing technical training programs with SMEs.
• Strong communication, relationship management, organizational, and project‑management skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Preferred: understanding of large healthcare/higher‑education HVAC systems and building automation; experience creating eLearning modules.
• Travel 5‑10 % to job sites or office locations.
