CNC Programming Specialist will be responsible for creating and maintaining accurate CNC programs and current file revisions for production & custom parts. Interpreting engineering blueprints to develop flat pattern layouts, collaborate directly with clients’ engineering teams, and reverse engineering parts to support manufacturing needs. This involves selecting appropriate machines, tools, and materials to ensure cost-effective production, as well as designing and coordinating procurement where needed. Furthermore, prepare detailed work instructions, including standardized set-up sheets and assembly guidelines, while utilizing CAD/CAM software to optimize run times and programming efficiency.

  • Make machine & tooling selections to manufacture parts in the most cost-effective manner.
  • Work with clients’ engineers.
  • Interpret engineering blueprints to draw (program) flat pattern layouts of parts.
  • Prepare detailed standardized work instructions and set-up sheets.
  • Utilize CAD/CAM software to continuously improve run time and programming time.
  • Design and request procurement of tools necessary.
  • Reverse engineer parts for manufacturing.
  • Program and maintain current file revisions of all parts.

  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production & interpretation of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models, specifically for sheet metal fabrication.

  • Knowledge of raw materials used in sheet metal fabrication, production processes, bend deductions, turret punch press tooling, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of goods.
  • Engineering – Engineering experience / background with strong mechanical aptitude is helpful.
