Key duties include weekly meetings with business units, providing HR guidance to line managers, and analyzing trends to develop programs and policies. The HRBP ensures legal compliance, supports performance management, and works to improve relationships, morale, productivity, and retention. Additional responsibilities involve policy interpretation, contract development, workforce and succession planning, and identifying training and executive coaching needs.
Success in this role requires proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and preferably Oracle, as well as excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and customer‑service skills. Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to interpret and apply relevant laws and regulations are essential.
A bachelor’s degree is required, with an advanced degree in HR, Business, Organizational Development, or related fields preferred. Candidates should have at least eight years of experience handling complex employee‑relations issues and a solid understanding of compensation, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and employment law. SHRM‑CP or SHRM‑SCP certification is preferred.
The position may require up to 25 % travel and involves a typical office environment with periods of sitting, standing, and occasional lifting of up to 30 lb. We fully comply with the ADA and provide reasonable accommodations as needed.
