Survey Crew Chief

Description

• Team and Project Management Managing project schedules, coordinating with project managers and clients, and training and mentoring junior crew members.
• Leading Field Operations Directing a field crew on a variety of projects, including topographic, boundary, and ALTA/NSPS land title surveys, as well as construction stakeouts.
• Data Integrity and QA/QC Ensuring the accuracy and quality of all field data, maintaining detailed field notes, and performing on-site quality control.

Requirements

• Skilled in the use of GPS devices, data collectors and/or Total Station;
• Operating Advanced Equipment Independently using and troubleshooting modern survey equipment. A strong working knowledge of Trimble survey equipment (e.g., robotic total stations, GPS) and software is required.
• Experience with Trimble and Access;
• Extensive background in construction surveying, construction staking and proper staking procedures.
• Knowledge of the principles, techniques, and practices of land surveying;
• Knowledge of industry specific safe workplace principles and practices;
• 5-8 years' construction related survey crew chief experience;
• Ability to work outdoors under various field conditions;
• Ability to operate motorized equipment;
• Knowledge of the principles, practices, and instruments used in computer aided drafting;
• Problem-Solving Applying your experience to solve complex field challenges and adapting to changing project conditions.
• Valid Driver's License.
