Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to present design concepts and project updates.
Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, environmental standards, and safety protocols. Supervise the acquisition of necessary permits and approvals from relevant authorities.
Ensure adherence to all corporate, contractual, ethical, and safety standards, policies, and procedures.
Participate in discussions with regulatory agencies and in public meetings to support client.
Offer technical expertise and guidance on tunneling methods, design, and construction practices.
Collaborate with the Contractor to identify and resolve any geotechnical or tunneling issues that arise during construction.
Review and oversee detailed geotechnical analyses to assess ground conditions and potential risks.
Monitor and oversee the construction of geotechnical and tunneling works to ensure compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
Evaluate and recommend suitable tunneling techniques.
Provide advice on the selection of appropriate tunneling methods, including TBM, based on project requirements and site conditions.
Monitor and report to management on the progress of relevant project activities, including significant milestones and any conditions that could affect project cost or schedule.
Collaborate and liaise with project managers and engineers to develop and optimize tunnel design and construction plans.

Bachelor’s Degree In Engineering, or equivalent from a recognized university.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents.
GCC experience is preferred.
Demonstrate extensive experience in preparation and review of geotechnical and tunneling design criteria manuals, technical reports, calculations, drawings, and specifications.
Ability to interface with all levels with project team, client, and others.
Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of support function problems.
Chartered Engineer status is ideal.
Understanding of the delivery process and the functions inherent to construction management of large-scale projects
Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, worked for a large-scale metro or rail projects. Skilled in identifying and resolving geotechnical and tunneling challenges during engineering and construction phases.
Must have experience in TBM tunneling.
Effective oral and written skills for client presentations, technical reporting, and internal + external correspondence; Ability to effectively present information to key stakeholders as required by the client.
Understanding of budget development and cost accounting
Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
Possess experience in design review, design optimization, and construction administration for geotechnical efforts and Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) tunneling within rail infrastructure projects.
Ability to function in a multi-organizational environment by developing relationships that complies with the client’s proactive, collaborative culture.
Must have experience in a consultancy environment or in client facing roles.
