The role includes project management responsibilities such as leading small stand‑alone projects, serving as a task leader on larger, more complex projects, and managing on‑call task orders. You will help identify and track small project pursuits, contribute to proposals, and may supervise a small team of direct reports while meeting annual sales goals and client management targets.
To be successful, you must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited program and have at least five years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, and strong oral and written communication skills are essential for building relationships with clients, contractors, team members, and other stakeholders.
The position requires an accredited bachelor’s degree in planning, aviation, environmental science, or a related field, and a solid understanding of NEPA, federal environmental laws, and FAA orders. Minimum five years of experience preparing NEPA documentation for airport or DOT projects is needed, along with strong verbal, written, and presentation abilities. Working knowledge of MS Office is essential, while experience with ESRI ArcGIS is desired. The role demands collaborative teamwork, responsiveness to deadlines, interest in airport environments, demonstrated project‑management skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Desired coursework includes ecology, geology, biology, water resources/hydrology, environmental regulation/law/policy, urban and regional planning, noise and air‑quality analyses, and stakeholder engagement/public outreach.
Joining the Aviation team provides the chance to apply diverse skills as a trusted advisor to both large and small airports, working in a collaborative, team‑oriented environment across airfields, buildings, facility planning, and environmental stewardship.
