Orbital Welder

Description

• Perform high-quality orbital welds per WPS and project requirements
• Set up and operate orbital welding machines and related equipment
• Verify weld integrity through visual inspection and coordination with QA/QC personnel
• Read and interpret isometric drawings, blueprints, and weld symbols
• Comply with all safety requirements, including OSHA and site-specific rules
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe condition
• Collaborate with project team members to meet schedule and quality goals
• Follow detailed procedures and quality standards
• Stand and walk for prolonged periods
• Lift, carry, and handle tools and materials weighing up to 50 pounds
• Perform repetitive hand, arm, and finger movements required for welding

Requirements

The company is seeking an experienced Orbital Welder for a field-based, high-tech construction project in Taylor, Texas. The role focuses on precision welding in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment, requiring strong orbital welding skills and the ability to meet strict quality and inspection standards.

• Proven experience as an Orbital Welder on industrial or high-tech projects
• Orbital welding certifications or equivalent documented experience/training
• Pass an orbital weld test as a condition of employment
• Experience welding stainless steel tubing and piping systems
• Demonstrate strong work ethic, reliability, and safety mindset
• Work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying temperatures as required
• Use required PPE, including welding helmet, gloves, and protective clothing

Benefits

The position offers an hourly pay rate of $50-55, dependent on experience, with overtime available based on the project schedule. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and additional benefits according to eligibility.
