The Role

Overview

Maintain and inspect Severn Bridges, perform repairs, winter ops and emergency callouts.

Tasks

-Allocation and capturing time and resource utilisation in line with operated allocation system -Taking responsibility for the safety of yourself and others within your team to ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation and safe operation to protect member of the public. -Carrying out vehicle checks prior to shift starting, correctly filling in defect books. -Attend project and work briefings as required. -Maintain records, complete required paperwork, and communicate with Amey staff, subcontractors, emergency services, police, public, clients, and customers.

What You Bring

-Drivers Licence -All aspects of highway maintenance works including routine and cyclic maintenance activities, minor Civil's works, litter picking, painting, blasting, concrete works and road works, etc. -Gantry driving -To drive/operate vehicles/plant requiring general and specialist skills including vehicle checks, routine maintenance, (eg oil and water checks etc) and cleaning. -Knowledge/awareness of health and safety
