The Grid team supports the full value chain—sales, construction, and service—across the APAC region, handling grid connection and compliance aspects of all projects. Regulatory Affairs backs Grid and the wider Power Plant Solutions department by managing interfaces with regulatory bodies and the policies that affect power plants, blending technical engagement with subject‑matter experts and policy stakeholder interaction.
As the Regulatory Advisor for Power Plant Solutions APAC, you will take overall accountability for Vestas' submissions to market bodies on rule changes, policy proposals, and compliance schemes related to grid connections and power plant operations.
The role includes mapping energy policy and market requirements, monitoring regulatory rule changes, translating policy wording into tangible technical requirements, and communicating updates to internal stakeholders, as well as participating in industry forums to develop responses to regulatory and policy changes.
Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline and have a demonstrated track record in the power‑system regulatory space, including the ability to interpret complex grid code requirements and communicate effectively with regulatory bodies.
Preferred experience includes working directly with Australia’s National Electricity Rules and primary regulatory stakeholders such as AEMC, AEMO, TNSPs, and the Clean Energy Council, as well as product knowledge of wind turbines, power electronics, and electrical balance of plant.
The position requires proven cross‑functional collaboration with both technical experts and policymakers, excellent communication skills to convey complex information concisely, a results‑oriented mindset for coordinating diverse inputs, the ability to meet deadlines during workload peaks, and professional presentation skills for senior management.
Vestas offers excellent professional and personal development opportunities in an inspiring, international work environment, valuing initiative, responsibility, creativity, and quality. Benefits include career development, a diverse and inclusive workplace, flexible work arrangements, 18 weeks paid carers leave, and an Employee Assistance Program.
