Senior Scheduler

Description

You will develop and maintain detailed Primavera P6 schedules for electric capital infrastructure projects, collaborate with project management, engineering, construction, and client stakeholders, and use project controls tools to monitor performance, analyze critical paths, and manage risks.

• Implement project controls tools and methodology.
• Develop and support schedule requirements per client procedures.
• Perform critical path analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Manage schedule contingency and coordinate risk mitigation with stakeholders.
• Provide regular schedule updates and report baseline deviations.
• Proactively address schedule variances and investigate project deviations.
• Support month‑end closing and phase‑gate processes.
• Maintain standardized file locations for all schedule documents.
• Produce look‑ahead, actuals, and schedule quality reports.
• Assemble documentation to satisfy project team and client requests.
• Analyze data and generate reports for project monitoring and decision‑making.
• Interface with project management to track schedule performance.
• Collaborate with cost analysts to develop time‑phased cost forecasts.
• Travel to client sites as needed for coordination meetings.

Requirements

The role requires at least seven years of project experience, a post‑secondary degree, strong proficiency in Primavera P6, and advanced Excel or Access skills, together with excellent written and verbal communication and a proactive, detail‑oriented attitude.

• 7+ years of project scheduling experience.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6.
• Practical knowledge of project controls.
• Post‑secondary degree.
• Advanced MS Excel/Access and strong written and verbal communication.
• Experience in power industry project controls or scheduling (preferred).
• AACE CST or PMI certification (or equivalent).
• Progress toward AACE CCP, CEP, PSP, PRMP, EVP, or PMI designation.
