Description

The Electrical Foreman leads an electrical crew on commercial construction sites. Their primary role is to ensure planning, laying out, installing, and wiring electrical components are completed according to project drawings, specifications, and applicable electrical code.

The foreman must manage project budgets and maintain quality standards across all sites. They will allocate resources and staffing to meet schedules, regulations, best practices, and safety requirements. Additionally, they will ensure safe use of tools and equipment through training.

• Coordinate daily tasks, adjusting for weather, supply, delivery, and personnel changes.
• Delegate responsibilities and projects to crew members and contractors.
• Recruit, hire, train, manage, and mentor employees and contractors.
• Allocate resources and staffing to meet schedules, regulations, best practices, and safety needs.
• Emphasize safe tool, machinery, and equipment use, providing safety‑gear training.
• Manage project budgets and uphold quality standards across sites.
• Resolve conflicts or miscommunications promptly and amicably.
• Report project status regularly to supervisors, site engineers, and officials.
• Pre‑plan every project and maintain continuous planning habits.
• Deliver commitments promptly with a sense of urgency.
• Take accountability for responsibilities and establish effective routines.
• Uphold the highest professional standards to represent the brand positively.

Requirements

Regular reporting of project status to supervisors, site engineers, and other officials is required. Conflicts or miscommunications are to be resolved quickly and amicably.

• Journeyman or Master Electrical license.
• Proven foreman experience on construction sites.
• In‑depth knowledge of OSHA guidelines.
• Strong customer‑service skills for communicating with inspectors and administration.
• Decision‑making ability for selecting personnel and subcontractors.
• Leadership skills to delegate tasks effectively.
• Excellent verbal communication for clear orders and technical discussions.
• Technical proficiency in interpreting construction methods, contracts, and drawings.
• Time‑management to meet deadlines and coordinate construction phases.
• Writing skills for budgets, proposals, plans, and progress documentation.
• 6‑10 years of electrical field leadership experience.
• 10+ years of overall electrical experience.
• Experience managing crews of 10‑20 workers.
• Experience on projects up to $1,000,000.
• Proficiency with software/tools such as Accubid, McCormick, Bluebeam, Procore, Plangird, and Microsoft Office.
• Communicate in real time with team members and clients.
