The Senior Engineering Services Specialist will be based at STI’s corporate headquarters in Somerville, NJ, and will support customers and internal teams with advanced technical guidance. The role leverages construction experience—such as building products, MEP trades, or general contracting—to interpret complex drawings, address field conditions, and deliver engineering‑driven firestop recommendations. It offers a clear path toward deep firestop expertise, certification preparation, and future leadership positions within STI.
Candidates must have at least five years of experience in a construction‑adjacent role such as commercial construction, building materials, general or specialty contracting, or life‑safety systems. Strong abilities to read specifications, shop drawings, and sequencing, as well as proficiency with MS Office and a willingness to learn AutoCAD, are required. Effective communication, analytical thinking, and the capacity to handle multiple inquiries simultaneously are essential for success.
