- Maintain, load/unload, handle, set-up, and take down equipment and supplies for simulation exercises and classes.
- Assess learning needs, identify performance gaps, and identify potential interventions to achieve performance objectives.
- Facilitate effective training using diverse interactive formats: presentations, group discussion, e-learning, hands-on simulation exercises, and video.
- Create and update accurate and dynamic course content including presentations, written exercises, hands-on simulations, exams, and handouts.
- Ensure all training activities meet safety and quality standards. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
- Provide post-training support such as job aids and follow-up materials.
- Maintain a positive, organized, and respectful classroom environment. Manage conflicts in classes independently.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements by monitoring performance, soliciting input from managers and employees, etc.

- Ability to read, analyze and interpret professional journals, government regulations and technical procedures.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
- Proficiency in Spanish helpful.
- Experience with virtual training platforms such as Teams and Zoom.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or a minimum of 5 years’ of closely related experience.
- Eligibility to become a Notary Public in Washington.
- Background in hazardous materials management, asbestos/lead safety, and related regulatory standards.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
- Experience in tracking and monitoring training effectiveness, utilizing evaluation instruments such as surveys, and testing.
- Spanish language proficiency a plus.
- Basic mathematical and analytical skills to include various units of measurement.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Power Point, Word, Outlook and internet research required. Working familiarity with Excel. Proficiency with Learning Management Systems helpful.
- Ability to independently solve problems and adapt in dynamic classroom settings.
