- Keeps emotions under control during difficult situations,
- Act as a SME and further develop PM Group’s design capability
- Liaise and interact with the wider project team including designers, client and contractor
- Makes presentations and undertakes public speaking with skill and confidence;
- Lead the design from concept to handover
- Identifies business opportunities for the organisation;
- Develop and guide team working under your supervision
- Produces new/innovative ideas/designs, approaches, or insights to problems.
- Design, Manage and Coordinate production of all Building Services systems, including HVAC, Utilities, Plumbing and Fire Protection for large scale projects.
- Keeps up to date with competitor information and market trends;
- Regularly monitors the communication network between stakeholders.
- Attend design team meetings
- Ensure that designs are in accordance with applicable codes and standards, e.g. Irish Building Regulations, CIBSE Design Guides, British Standards and Health & Safety Regulations
- Identify issues and problems; make timely decisions, develop appropriate and innovative solutions; Balances the demands of a work life and a personal life.

- Experience of working in a collaborative BIM environment
- Ability to stand firm when challenged on project changes, scope creep, etc. in a fair manner.
- Approaches change/new ideas positively and drive change to improve systems;
- Demonstrates financial awareness
- 10+ years’ experience in the design of Building Services systems, preferably in a consultancy environment in the pharmaceutical or allied sectors
- Chartered Engineer preferred
- Honours degree (NFQ Level 8 for Ireland) preferably in Building Services or Mechanical engineering.
- Competent in design software such as Fluid Flow or Pipe-Flo.
- Adapts interpersonal style to suit different people or situations.
