Milton CAT is looking for a driven Technical Communicator to support its paving equipment portfolio throughout Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. In this high‑impact position you will serve as the technical expert for CAT and Weiler paving products, assisting technicians, service managers, and customers while acting as a key liaison among Milton CAT, Caterpillar, and Weiler.
- Provide expert technical support to service departments in ME, NH, and VT for CAT and Weiler paving equipment.
- Diagnose complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues and assist technicians with timely repairs.
- Serve as the primary liaison between Milton CAT, Caterpillar, and Weiler to ensure clear communication of technical issues and product updates.
- Deliver technical training and New Product Introductions (NPIs) to technicians and service teams.
- Maintain consistent communication with shop and field management regarding product issues, updates, and best practices.
- Support growth opportunities in parts and service for paving products in collaboration with Product Support Consultants.
- Provide field‑based problem resolution while maintaining high standards of customer service.

The successful candidate will bring at least five years of experience with earth‑moving or heavy equipment, possess strong mechanical and diagnostic abilities, and be comfortable communicating effectively at all organizational levels. A valid driver’s license with a clean record and the ability to travel across the three‑state territory are required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with earthmoving or heavy equipment in roles such as mechanic, Technical Communicator, or technical trainer.
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills, including proficiency with CAT systems such as SIS and ET.
- Preferred experience within the paving industry, including pavers, rollers, screeds, and related machinery.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interaction across all personnel levels.
- Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to travel within Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont.

Benefits
The role offers a salaried pay range of $85,000 to $105,000 based on experience and includes the use of a company vehicle for regional travel.
