The Estate Planning Manager will primarily review existing estate plans and identify enhancement options tailored to each client’s needs. The role requires meeting delivery dates, attending internal collaboration meetings, and a solid understanding of trust agreement language and the Uniform Principal and Income Act (UPIA).
- Research basic to complex estate matters across disciplines using tax research tools, focusing on income/estate tax issues.
- Prepare written deliverables such as emails, memos, and Excel matrices that document client facts, apply guidance, and provide conclusions.
- Respond promptly and professionally to internal and external client and associate requests.
- Communicate with engagement leaders about open items and ensure budgets and deadlines are met.
- Perform estate tax calculations using Microsoft Excel, number crunchers, or other systems.
- Develop standardized approaches to improve quality and time‑to‑delivery of estate plan solutions.
- Review current estate plans and recommend enhancement options that align with client needs while meeting delivery timelines.
- Participate in a 401(k) savings plan with profit sharing and firm matching contributions.

- Possess 5+ years of experience with individual, fiduciary, estate, and gift compliance.
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent education and experience.
- Maintain CPA certification in the relevant practicing state.
- Demonstrate knowledge of wealth‑transfer planning vehicles and trust agreement language.
- Understand income tax and estate impact of various trust vehicles, including charitable remainder/lead trusts, SLATs, IDGTs, QPRTs, and GRATs.
- Ability to quickly become proficient in charting and drafting estate plans derived from legal documents.

- Base pay range $106,000–$160,000 with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.
