Maintenance Engineer

Description

Due to continued expansion, we are recruiting for a “mechanical biased” Maintenance Engineer on a permanent basis, where for the right person there will be huge potential for progression within the business. As their Maintenance Engineer, you will assist in the maintenance (planned, preventative and breakdown) of all machinery and equipment to ensure their smooth and efficient operation.

• Liaising with Managers to help with implementing and enforcing company policies and procedures.
• Maintaining machinery maintenance programmes and records.
• Providing holiday/sickness cover.
• Deputising for the Chief Engineer and assisting with clerical matters as required.
• Keeping the workshop in a clean and tidy condition and controlling tools on site.
• Attending to all mechanical breakdowns, and assisting in machinery adjustments.
• Assisting in maintaining an inventory of spare parts.
• Completing all documentation relevant to the position.
• Maintaining and improving building fabric.

Requirements

Are you an experienced “mechanically biased” Maintenance Engineer?

This position is available with immediate effect.

• Basic electrical engineering knowledge.
• You should have excellent communication, IT, and analytical skills.
• Should ideally have a sound educational background, better still be qualified with a City & Guilds/NVQ/HND and/or Degree in an engineering/maintenance related discipline.
• You should be personable and have a positive personality.
• Diagnosing and repairing faults.
• Previous food industry experience, but this is not essential.
• Compliance with relevant UK law.
• Skills in Welding and Fabrication work.
• Should be an experienced “mechanically biased” Maintenance Engineer.
