What you would be doing

Coordinate technical tasks for compliance with project schedules.
Conduct or manage public engagement activities that help the public meaningfully contribute to the decision-making process.
Preparation and review of NEPA and planning documents and oversight of documents prepared by other staff and consultants.
Coordinate with design professionals and overall project team to identify fatal flaws, schedule delays, opportunities for schedule acceleration or recovery, and opportunities to avoid or minimize impacts.
Evaluate impacts from transportation projects on the built, cultural and natural environment.
Contribute to traffic noise modeling and studies.

Local candidates are preferred for this position.
Eligible candidates must have a valid driver’s license.
Proficiency with the MS Office suite of software.
Ability to visit project sites if necessary.
Similar environmental consultation experience related to transportation projects with GDOT and/or other linear projects (including projects with federal and state funding) preferred.
Excellent technical writing, computer, and verbal communication skills with clients and colleagues.
Familiarity with schedule management software a plus.
Proficiency with Traffic Noise Modeling (TNM) is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Management, Planning, Engineering or a related field, Master’s degree is a plus; This level may be achieved by Planners with 5 years of experience since bachelor’s degree or 4 years since Master's.
Aptitude for maintaining a professional attitude and attention to detail while working alone, within a team environment, and/or on multiple projects, simultaneously.
Strong organizational, task and time management, deductive reasoning, and analytical skills.
