The Team Lead must understand all assembly procedures, standard work schedules, quality standards, and build requirements within the assigned area. They will use various tools and lifting devices to handle components over 35 lbs, maintain a clean workspace, and meet production deadlines.
Key duties involve multitasking, prioritizing work, training new and existing employees, and acting as a liaison between team members and section managers. The lead serves as the first point of contact for job‑function questions and may handle administrative tasks such as daily PQVC metric boards and schedule adjustments.
- Lead and supervise assembly team on 3rd shift (10:15 PM–6:15 AM).
- Ensure adherence to assembly procedures, standard work, and quality standards.
- Operate tools and lifting devices to handle components over 35 lbs.
- Maintain clean, organized work area following 5S and continuous improvement practices.
- Train new hires and develop existing employees' skills.
- Serve as liaison between team members and section managers.
- Manage daily PQVC metric boards and report schedule or inventory issues.
- Make independent decisions to resolve production problems.
- Meet production deadlines while multitasking and prioritizing tasks.
- Apply prior assembly experience and leadership abilities.
