AP/Lifting Director (DEL 139)

Description

• Compile and present reports on lifting operations, performance metrics, and incidents to senior management
• Oversee the selection, inspection, and maintenance of lifting equipment to ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational standards
• Lead the training and development of personnel involved in lifting operations to ensure high levels of competency and awareness
• Engage with regulatory bodies and ensure all lifting operations comply with local laws and international standards
• Conduct risk assessments and safety audits related to lifting activities, implementing corrective actions as necessary
• Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure lifting designs are executed accurately and safely
• Develop and implement lifting plans and strategies for various construction projects, ensuring optimal safety and efficiency in operations
• Provide leadership and guidance to project teams in executing lifting operations, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement
• Monitor project progress and performance against lifting plans, adjusting strategies as necessary to meet project objectives

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of lifting and hoisting equipment, safety regulations, and operational best practices
• Experience in the Middle East region is highly desirable
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop team members
• Familiarity with relevant lifting software and technologies
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
• Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in lifting operations and management on construction and engineering projects
• Proven track record of successfully managing lifting operations in complex environments
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities with a focus on safety and efficiency
• Strong communication skills, capable of effectively engaging with diverse stakeholders and teams
• Certifications related to lifting and hoisting operations (e.g., NCCCO, AISC, etc.) are an asset
