The Etch Technician will be qualified to set up, operate and maintain equipment, to perform etch and to interpret, evaluate and document the results in accordance with procedures approved by a Level III. An Etch Technician shall also be familiar with the codes, standards, and other contractual documents utilized at Element. An Etch Technician shall be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations for the technique/method to which certified. In this role the Etch Technician will be responsible for providing reliable results while paying close attention to safety and project timelines.

Vision requirements include close vision, depth perception, normal color vision, and the ability to adjust focus; impairments are acceptable if corrected with appropriate devices.
A high school diploma is required, and prior experience with metal plating etching is a plus. The technician must pass a certification exam within the first six months as mandated by the NADCAP checklist, and familiarity with industry codes and standards is advantageous, with training provided as needed.
Compensation: $20–$25 per hour, depending on experience.
