The Receiving Coordinator, also titled Dock Master, is responsible for the daily operation, upkeep, and organization of loading docks within mixed‑use rental communities. This role manages receiving, inspecting, and directing deliveries, while serving as the primary point of contact for vendors, movers, commercial tenants, residents, and internal team members, ensuring every interaction reflects Tricon’s commitment to exceptional service.
Work is performed in loading dock areas of commercial retail and residential facilities, exposing the employee to various weather conditions, noise, dust, and physical demands such as lifting up to 50 lb, standing, moving, and operating equipment. Safety compliance with OSHA/WHMIS (CCOHS) standards and regular inspections are required to maintain a safe environment.
- Oversee loading and unloading of goods and maintain dock flow throughout the shift.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with drivers, carriers, commercial tenants, and property management.
- Schedule and allocate dock space for deliveries and pickups.
- Receive goods, notify commercial tenants of arrivals, and manage residential move‑ins/outs.
- Enforce safety regulations, conduct regular inspections, and ensure OSHA/CCOHS compliance.
- Perform file triage of certifications, participate in the Joint Health and Safety Committee.
- Prepare waste for pickup, ready area for grease trap extraction, and keep the dock clean and orderly.
- Maintain and report the condition of dock equipment such as doors, bins, lifts, and dollies.
- Track and replenish supplies related to dock operations.
- Communicate promptly with stakeholders, address delays, and maintain accurate activity logs.
- Attend team meetings and training to uphold service standards.

- Require experience in dock or receiving operations and strong knowledge of safety and logistics.
- Demonstrate excellent communication, problem‑solving skills, and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb, stand, move, and operate equipment safely.
- Forklift or tractor certification is an asset.
