The Inventory/Production Clerk ensures inventory accuracy across manufacturing facilities, handling production entry for the Buford plant and satellite locations. This role enters purchase orders for consumables, communicates inventory issues, and collaborates with production management, freight, purchasing, and CSR teams while reporting directly to the Operations Manager.
Key duties include maintaining accurate inventory and consumable purchase schedules, setting pricing margins on non‑standard items, coordinating BOM inventory with production, managing Over‑Allocation reports, and seeking improvements in inventory accuracy and production efficiency. The clerk also implements inventory control systems, negotiates vendor pricing, reconciles discrepancies, monitors inter‑plant transactions, and processes invoices for outsourced items.
The position requires knowledge of inventory and supply chain principles, strong communication across organizational levels, proficiency with Oracle and Microsoft Office, and solid problem‑solving, decision‑making, and interpersonal skills. Additional expertise in production scheduling, capacity planning, and vendor negotiations is valued.
A recent college degree in Business Management is preferred, though currently enrolled students are considered; a Bachelor’s degree is ideal. Relevant experience includes inventory control, production support, and data entry.
Physical demands involve lifting up to 100 lb, working in extreme temperature changes, and maintaining the ability to sit or stand for long periods while performing full‑range body movements such as twisting, bending, and pulling. The role also requires willingness to travel.
ADS offers comprehensive health and welfare benefits—including medical, dental, vision, telemedicine, HSA options, and an employee assistance program—as well as financial benefits such as a 401(k) match, stock purchase plan, paid parental leave, flexible spending accounts, disability coverage, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, and other voluntary programs.
Employees enjoy growth opportunities within ADS’s global network of roughly 70 manufacturing plants and 40 distribution centers, a creative and inclusive work culture, and a commitment to sustainability as one of North America’s largest plastic recyclers.
