Assist in coordination with the design team to provide constructability input and value engineering.

Conduct initial analysis of drawings and specifications to ensure requirements information is provided.

Perform archive filing and historical cost data gathering.
Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Schedule estimating team reviews.
Compile information from daily meetings/activities and communicate to the project team in a clear and organized manner.
Review, analyze, and interpret Contract Documents (RFP, specification, etc.)
Aiding to produce an accurate estimate that includes subcontractor solicitation, quantity takeoffs, pricing analysis, proposal comparisons, and estimate summary sheets.
Participate in project review meetings and site investigations as needed.
The role may occasionally require working in high, precarious places; near fumes or airborne particles; and handling toxic or caustic chemicals.
Interrupted frequently to meet the needs and requests of team members, and outside vendors.
Contributes to the team effort by exemplifying ESI’s Dependable, Dedicated, Dynamic estimating culture.
Supports lead estimators in gathering information from local government and private entities that may affect projects (i.e. permits, hearings, etc.)

Bachelor’s degree in construction management and/or 1-4 years of industry/estimating experience.

Can effectively search, navigate, and interpret contract documents (plans, specifications, Geotech, RFI’s, ASI’s, CCD’s, etc.).
Able to navigate and utilize bid solicitation software.
Knowledge of construction fundamentals to assist in cost development.
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with peers, upstream management, and vendors.
Positive contribution to ESI’s culture and active participation in company events and programs.
Constantly operates a computer, including keyboard, mouse, computer printer, and scanner.
Proficient and organized with Bluebeam PDFs (Takeoffs, markups, and modifications).
Competence in representing ESI as an ambassador to all parties in which we engage.
Competent in reading and understanding schedules.
Applicable mathematical skills and ability to analyze data.
Possesses organizational skills, is detail-oriented, and is able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks (Strong Time management skills).
