What you would be doing

- Kitting/sorting of components ready for manufacture.
- To work in compliance with the company’s Quality Management System.
- Assembly of electrical and mechanical components into finished assemblies to a high standard
- Completion of quality documentation alongside manufacturing in line with the company’s quality management system.
- Packing of finished goods ready for despatch.
- Final testing of assemblies and thorough completion of inspection documentation as required.
- Keep the workshop clean and tidy and in a state suitable for visitors.
- Performing production tasks in other areas of the business (Electrical, Mechanical or Composites) as required

- Experience using a bearing press preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
- Good communication skills, including written and verbal English, record keeping and basic IT skills.
- Experience in soldering preferred but training will be provided.
- Able to follow agreed feedback procedures and communicate clearly.
- Experience in a production/manufacturing environment (preferably electrical and mechanical assembly experience) with good hands-on tool skills and general manufacturing ability.
- Good fault-finding skills and an ability to be able to repair and refurbish assemblies as required.
- Understanding of Health & Safety in a factory/production environment.
- Ability to follow agreed operating procedures.
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- An ability to complete documentation as required.
- Ability to work on own initiative, identifying problems as they arise and finding solutions.
- Adaptable and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- An understanding of the dangers of electricity and how to work safely where live voltages are present preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
- Experience in cable preparation including; crimping.
- A quick learner and positive attitude towards learning new skills.
- Ability to work to and follow drawings and standard operating procedures or an ability to learn quickly.
