Field Inspection II

Description

• Provide design and technical assistance to projects and recommend relevant energy efficiency measures.
• Develop inspection reports that summarize on-site findings and include photographs and action items to resolve discrepancies.
• Provide customer support with the energy efficiency work scope development.
• Communicate with energy efficiency program managers to inform quality assurance standards and mechanisms associated with the client Programs.
• Communicate effectively with homeowners, business owners and contractors.
• Conduct inspections to verify that the energy efficiency measures meet program quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance and support in addressing onsite issues.
• Conduct inspections to document existing building conditions, operations, and schedules and to identify potential efficiency measures.
• Confirm project scopes of work with customer and confirm that scopes match project applications and records.
• Work with customers and contractors to resolve discrepancies identified on site.
• Research and develop inspection protocols for new and evolving technologies.
• Coordinate and schedule site visits with commercial & industrial and customers.

Requirements

• Ability to work with culturally diverse customers and contractors effectively and respectfully.
• Eligibility to work in the United States
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Excellent oral and written communications skills;
• Ability to perform field inspections in New Jersey with minimal travel time.
• Demonstrated expertise in building science including mechanical, electrical, weatherization and/or solar photovoltaic technologies across a broad array of building types.
• Team-oriented, hands-on, highly skilled, adaptive, and client-focused;
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong computer and record-keeping skills: proficiency in MS Office and use of Customer Relationship Management (CRM).
• Established critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills;
• Reliable means of transportation to facilitate site visits throughout the State of New Jersey.
• Associate degree (Engineering/Technical Preferred), or at least four years of relevant experience.
