- Processes shipping orders using computerized shipping system.
- Selects correct processes from clearly prescribed rules, past practices, or instruction. Seeks advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from supervisor. Deviations from the norm are cleared by the supervisor.
- Loads and unloads trucks.
- Prepares inventory for shipment. Properly bands and shrink wraps pallets, and attaches shipping labels.
- Loads/unloads material onto or from pallets, trays, racks and shelves by hand.
- Under close supervision, exercises limited latitude/independent judgment. Work typically involves detailed checks or close review of output by a senior coworker and/or supervisor.
- Maintains warehouse inventory on racks in a neat and orderly manner.
- Reviews shipping orders. Locates product in warehouse.

- Knowledge of products manufactured or warehoused at that plant. Ability to use the required personal protective equipment at all times.
- HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred. 0-2 years of experience in area of responsibility.
- Most of the time is spent sitting in the same position or standing/walking and/or there is some requirement to lift or handle material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).
- Typically located in a comfortable indoor area. There may be regular exposure to mild physical discomfort from factors, such as dust, fumes or odors, temperature extremes, loud noise, strong drafts, or bright lights.
- No travel required.
