Conduct fibre and copper cabling, including pulling, dressing, labelling, terminating, and securing.
Conduct onsite HSE and site-visit inspections when needed.
Perform continuity checks and diagnostic testing for cable and fibre runs.
Provide guidance, leadership, and coaching to junior engineers.
Take the lead on complex fault-finding and troubleshooting tasks based on written or verbal instructions from operations centres.
Maintain and implement quality installation standards.
Perform installation, commissioning, and testing activities in both project and maintenance environments.
Manage RAMS documentation and ensure safety and compliance standards are met.
Deliver regular updates on progress to operational teams and project stakeholders.
Maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, partners, and customers.
Support project managers with basic project management tasks when required.
Manage assigned incidents end-to-end until resolution.
Respond to interventions promptly to meet required SLAs.
Produce accurate, high-quality technical and project documentation.
Act as lead engineer on assigned projects and serve as the escalation point for technical issues.
Provide first-line and second-line maintenance support across customer sites.
Install racks, metalwork, cable trays, and associated infrastructure.
Participate in out-of-hours on-call rota when required.
Conduct field quality audits and coordinate rectification or improvement activities.

Optical transmission systems (e.g., PDH, SDH, DWDM)
IP WAN/LAN networking, VoIP
Fast-paced and reactive role with varied site locations.
Strong background in telecoms infrastructure build, installation, and commissioning.
Ability to manage workload independently and meet all SLAs.
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 or equivalent.
High-speed testing (10/100/1000 Mbps, 10G, 40G, 100G)
Full, valid driving licence.
Experience with multiple major telecom network equipment vendors (names withheld for client confidentiality).
Strong ability to work under pressure and guide others.
Complete AC/DC connectivity work (excluding power-up).
Hands-on expertise in:
Excellent customer-facing communication and reporting skills.
Fibre and structured cabling
Advanced experience in network commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting.
Benefits
Salary: $75,000-$85,000
On Call - $10/day Monday to Friday and $25/day for Saturday, Sunday
Overtime - 1.5 x Hourly Rate: More than 40 hours worked in a workweek
$500pcm car allowance and fuel 0.59 pm ($6000 PA)
