Asset: knowledge of power systems (HV, MV, LV)
Advanced English skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in English-speaking Canadian provinces and internationally; you may need to use English occasionally or daily, depending on current projects
Ability to look beyond established standards
Basic knowledge of HV/MV/LV apparatus and safety in electrical installations
Familiarity with reading and preparing various types of electrical schematics (single lines, three lines and interconnection drawings)
Strong commitment to health and safety
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from a recognized university
Ability to travel to client sites and other BBA offices within Canada, the USA and abroad for short-term assignments, such as site meetings, field reviews, site assessments, tests and more
Advanced French skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in Québec
At least one year of experience in engineering
Member in good standing with EGBC and registered as an EIT
Asset: knowledge of electrical study software such as PSCAD, PSSE, CYME, PSSE and EMTP-RV
Knowledge of MS Office and other database applications
A valid driver’s licence
Ability to draft technical documents in both languages
