The role involves installing, maintaining, and operating wired, wireless, fiber optic, and microwave equipment. Technicians climb towers, erect various tower types, offload materials, prepare sites, and assist with antenna and transmission-line installations using cranes, helicopters, and gin poles.
- Install, maintain, and operate wired, wireless, fiber optic, and microwave telecom equipment.
- Climb towers and ladders to perform erection and assembly of monopole, self-support, and guyed towers.
- Use helicopters, cranes, and gin poles to assist in tower erection and antenna installation.
- Offload material, manage inventory, and prepare/clean work sites.
- Install carriers, antennas (microwave, VHF, UHF, cellular, FM), and transmission lines (coaxial, hardline, waveguides).
- Perform electrical foundation, grounding, conduit work, and related installations.
- Follow MasTec Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and industry standards (OSHA, TIA‑10‑48, NATE CTS, ANSI).

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent with at least eight years of relevant experience, the ability to lift 50 lb, climb towers, and work up to 12 hours. Safety awareness, a strong work ethic, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to travel and work nights or weekends are required; NWSA certification is a plus.

- Strong safety focus and knowledge of relevant regulations.

- Availability for weekends, nights, extreme weather, and extensive travel.
- NWSA certification preferred.
